DUSABLON INTO MANITOBA CURLING HALL OF FAME in 2025
In May 2025, former Manitoba and Canadian Firefighters Curling Champion Ken Dusablon (second from left) was been inducted into the Manitoba Curling Hall of Fame as a member of the 2015 Canadian Masters Champion team. Dusablon, who was the third on the team, was joined in the induction by skip Ron Westcott and team-mates Bob Boughey and Howard Restall. The formal induction took place in early May. The 2015 champions had a 9W-3L record in winning the Manitoba title, including a comeback score of three coming home to win the final 7-6 over Hall of Famer Doug Armour and his Brandon team. The ran undefeated through the Canadian Championship to post an 11W-0L record and win the Canadian title. Although not formally recognized for his Firefighter curling resume, Dusablon’s skills honed in that competition were a key to his contributions to Team Westcott. He is the first Manitoba Firefighters champion to be included in Manitoba’s Curling Hall of Fame. Courtesy of Resby Coutts, MCHOF
